IT System Engineer (f/m/d) - 12 months limited contract

Your tasks

  • You manage and further develop our Linux systems, which form the backbone of our infrastructure
  • You take ownership of various operational information security topics, including endpoint hardening, vulnerability management, IDS, SIEM, and more
  • You support our team across different levels of tasks, covering the full breadth of IT challenges
  • You contribute to the development and optimization of IT processes to support our growing user base
  • You drive automation and configuration management (IaC) to increase efficiency and reliability within our environment
  • You work closely with cross‑functional teams using modern Agile methods such as Kanban and Scrum

Requirements

  • You bring several years of experience administering and working with Linux systems
  • You have a solid background in operational information security
  • You have experience with 2nd and 3rd level support and enjoy tackling a wide range of technical challenges
  • You have a strong understanding of computer networks and common protocols (DNS, DHCP, IP, NTP, SSH, etc.)
  • You have hands‑on experience developing and implementing IT processes
  • You bring skills in automation and configuration management (e.g., IaC)
  • You work independently and in a structured way, maintaining high-quality standards
  • You are fluent in English
